Any form of monitoring involves some overhead, but we use very lightweight techniques that minimize the performance impact. Our methods impose a much lighter load than any of the commonly-used monitoring products for SQL Server.

How long does a SQL Server Health Check usually take?

The time can vary according to individual circumstances. Hoewever, it normally takes six to eight hours for a single SQL Server to set up the diagnostics, monitor the activity, analyze the results and write the report. Additional SQL Servers take much less time.
